Workshops

Workshops will be available for different levels from beginners to advanced students. They will be offered to circus performers, dance companies, yogis and also people interested in trying something new.

Aerial Work (Various leves)

We will be working on finding the efficient way of moving in and out of technique, making transitions and set ups, a territory that is equally as important as tricks. Body awareness and breathing will be an essential part of this class.

Aerial Yoga

For this form of practice we use a swing as support hanging in different yoga asanas, letting the gravity and support from the fabric release compression, opening joints and working flexibility in a not forceful way, allowing the body to connect and open.

Asanas (postures) are practiced with a focus on breath, alignment, relaxation, and meditation.

Aerial Roots: Conditioning and Injury Prevention

In this class, we will discuss the importance of preparing the body and maintaining the awareness and connection throughout the workout. We will use Pilates based exercise to anatomically understand the core muscles and where the movement should come from to make it specific and more efficient, connecting through the shoulders, arms, pelvis, and legs. We will learn and apply the concept of creating space and rooting (even in the air), activating our legs, letting energy move through the whole body, becoming body aware and enjoying the present moment of our experience in the air.

Flexibility – Creating space

In this workshop we will focus on creating space around the articulation to open up the body in an organic, yet deep and intense way. Gaining an understanding of how to stretch in a certain way will allow us to improve our flexibility without forcing or getting injured.

Private Pilates, and Yoga sessions are also available upon request.
